I have a death mask of Napoleon Bonaparte. How can I find out if it is original or a replica?

On the inside of the mask it has N.R.L. Paris 1821 written on it and on the outside it has Dr. Antommarchi engraved in it. Im not sure what it is made of but it is a reddish color. It has been passed down throughout my family for a while now.I have a death mask of Napoleon Bonaparte. How can I find out if it is original or a replica?
There are only four genuine death masks known to exist. It appears a death mask was made and then a mold to produce more death masks. Some were plaster and others were of bronze.

The best way is to get an appraisal done. It may be costly as camparison to the other masks would be a requirement. However it proved geneuine it would be only one of five such itemsI have a death mask of Napoleon Bonaparte. How can I find out if it is original or a replica?
It is a replica, the original is in France,.....After he died there were two masks made from his face and many copies have been made since then but, yaers ago a movement came about to allow students to '; be in touch'; with historical characters, Naploeon was one such character and another character was Abraham Lincoln..........There have been many other historical masks made by the national historical museum,.......I suggest you check with them on the Origin of that particular mask. Your maks is most likely paper-mache or it's a casting or plaster,.....I used to own a mask of Lincoln, it was made as a copy of the original or a copy of a copy...........your copy is most likely made from a very good copy that was made in France and then came across the Atlantic ocean by someone who'd been to the Big museum in France,....the copy of Napoleon's face was originally made from plaster, the story of how the mask was made is a basic lesson in History after world war-2.
