I am using the proactive face mask and i was wondering if it will still have the effect on pimples even tho i don't use the rest of the system.

I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.





I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

They have proven that a mask will not protect you from the swine flu. I would not worry about it. It is not as bad as the regular flu. If you are in good shape and take care of yourself then you will be fine even if you get it.

Most of the time the paint line is not crisp and straight, they just pull the camera back so it is not noticeable
When you tape. the tape does not have to be clear. Blue painters tape is low tack and will not pick up the underneath paint when you peal it up.





After you lay the tape down, take the back of your thumb nail and smooth the edge down TIGHT so it will NOT bleed under the edge.





Peal it up when it is dry. That should do it.

nooo don't do it please! if you're looking for the best home-made mask, try the aspirin mask. yes aspirin! you can get the uncoated ones from drug stores for about $0.99 to $3.99 depending on your preference. then you add a few drops of water onto 4-5 capsules of aspirin and they'll dissolve instantly to a gooey form. then you add 1 - 2 tablespoon of honey into the aspirin and mix them up together. now apply the mixture evenly on your face and wait about 30 - 40 minutes. rinse it with luke warm water. you'll notice the difference when you try it. it works like a charm - blackheads, whiteheads, acne problems, flaky skins, dry skin, oily skin, etc.





the salad dressing is loaded with fatty acids and tons of flavors - vinegar, salt, sugar, etc. they will not only not help to improve your skin, but they will clog your pores like crazy and causing inflammation of your pores = acnes. the vinegar is too harsh for you skin, and the salt contains sodium, which will suck the moist out of your skin, causing dehydration = flaky, bigger pores.

You can do anything with a cardboard paper plate, tissue paper, craft feathers, waterpaints and glue.

I'd start with a plain cheap mask that you can get at a craft store (or make one of cardboard and attach a strap of elastic to the sides). You may want to paint it a color if it's your home-made one.





You'll find lots of feathers of all types at Michael's and other craft stores. You can simply glue the feathers on. For medium to heavy feathers, I'd use an epoxy type glue (E600 etc) or a glue gun. For very small lightweight feathers, regular white glue MIGHT work.





If you're looking for a mardi-gras type, then I would glue rhinestones around the eyes after the feathers are done. Also, you could skip the elastic and glue the finished mask to a ';wand'; type of thing, also the craft store staff could help.

Look into buying a powder type foundation. I use the Bare Escentuals kind (Bare Minerals). I think it covers flaws well and also looks pretty natural. It's more exspensive than the liquid kind but it lasts ALOT longer.
Use a translucent powder. If your skin is not flawless, however you might want to try a foundation that is the SAME color as your skin even if you are fair-skinned. I have a feeling your foundation probably has too much orange/red pigment in it. You can easily get the ';dark mask'; look if your skin is not tan like the foundation is.


Try this: After moisturizer spread an even amount of your foundation over your face with your fingertips. Wet a makeup applicator sponge, (not the ones that come with a compact) squeeze it a little and use it to blend and pat the foundation to a perfectly even dewy finish! Make sure to blend (gently rub) it around your chin and jaw-line so there is no visible line where the makeup stops.
Well I heard that one of Cliniques foundations are good for you and its basically the same as cover up and powder. You should probably buy a brush from Sephora cause if you use a sponge it makes it seems heavy and a brush is much better if you want a natural look. Another way is asking a person at Sephora or M.A.C stand and ask them what would give you more of a natural look with full coverage

use the toothpaste, but only a thin layer of the white kind, not the gel. if you slop it on, the pimple will suck up some of it and get bigger. happened to me! put purell or some kind of unscented hand sanitizer to clean it really well before. it will help dry it up too.

A pimple is a really big problem but I advise that instead of just wasting money on all of that fancy stuff use your bathing soap and wash your face twice a day. My dad is a doctor and I trusted his word and I am pimple free.

First, you should use the quick release masking tape.


If you have left the cheap tape on the car, on the chrome, windows, etc for months, it is hard to get off. If you have a pressure washer, esp a hot one, the tape will come right off.


That is what I use for the cars and machinery that I do every day.


If you get the tape soft - like real wet, you can get the top part off and use scrubber and maybe a little lacquer thinner to get the glue off

OK, here is one idea





Start at center with egg


Surround with bed of cotton balls, tape in place to make ball


Make box or sphere using the straws as the wall material, it does not have to be solid, only a cage


Inside this place loosly wadded up paper to fill it with the egg/cotton in the center. Might need to put some tape to suspend the egg in the center a bit to keep it from settling before you drop it





Finish by filling with the wadded paper balls and seal with additional straws to make a full cage, secure all with tape

I would give it 3 days to dry good. The easiest way to do it is to blow up a balloon and cut medium sized strips of newspaper then cut them in half so they are not too long. Next dip them in a bowl of starch. You can find this at the market. go strip by strip. Do one side of the balloon at a time continue layering the paper until you can not see the balloon. try to wipe off a bit of the starch so it is not so wet/thick or it will take forever to dry. Let dry over night. Do the other side the following day. Let dry over night. Next stick a pin into the balloon and cut the balloon in half with a sharp blade or knife. Now you have two just in case. With a hole puncher make the small holes on the sides and place the string through. Cut out the eye holes and paint or decorate as you like.

I've been having really good results from olive oil. My hair is fine, naturally curly and half way down my back. Whatever you use, make sure you have a heat source. I warm the oil in the microwave for about 20 seconds and use my hair dryer. The heat lifts the cuticle on the hair shafts so the conditioner can work it's way in. I've spent a small fortune over the years on little ';deep'; conditioning packs and the olive oil works just as well for pennies. It's also great for dry skin.

umm no.i heard you cant do that anymore.
It would depend on where you wore it. If you wore it into a bank, a store (anyplace that would have money and is prone to robbery), an airport, train or bus station, you'd undoubtely be in some serious trouble. If you remain on the street, and it doesn't create a hazard, I don't think there would be any problem. I see plenty of scary looking characters who don't wear masks.

I use a PURE Dead Sea Mud mask once a week. Dead sea mud has a ';thermal'; effect on people. So Its best to use it at night when you aren't going to out. It may turn your face a little red but that will go away once the heat goes away. The max amount of time you can leave it on is 30 minutes. I leave mine on for 25 minutes with a wet washcloth on my face.





Wash your face twice a day. Morning and before you get to bed.


Do not over wash your face. Meaning don't wash your face more than twice a day.


Get a natural soap that contains Tea Tree EO. I get mine at:

and once to twice a day for the facewash.. it depends on the type of facewash it is. i.e. if it's exfoliating, no more than once a day. see how your face reacts.. if it gets red and dry that means you're washing it too much.


also it's VERY important to sleep well and keep your stress levels low-- that may help your skin a lot.





if you have problem skin my best advice is to go to a dermatologist before it's too late and you get acne scars.. happened to me!


washing your face may not directly prevent acne!!! it is way more complicated than that, and you may need to take antibiotics to fight the bacteria causing acne. (also a dermatolist may give you surface cream to dry out any zits)

Why is the backplate of a goalie mask so important?

people would tell me not to wear an old-school mask because the backplate isn't very big and i might get hit. I've been playing goal for a couple years now and i've never been hit in the back of the head once. And even if I did, wouldn't I be doing something wrong?Why is the backplate of a goalie mask so important?
When a 200-230lb. forward crashes into you (using you as a stopping agent) and the back of your head hits the goalpost...ask that question again.





It's happened to me a couple times, and even with a good backplate I'm still dizzy for a couple days.

It is not so much for protecting you from pucks as it is for protecting you from banging the back of your head on the ice. The newer masks are designed to absorb that impact better than the old school masks. This is not so much because of the back plate as it is the entire design of the mask.





EDIT: Getting hit in the back of the head with a puck could happen and not be your fault. If you are turning your back on a shot then yeah, you are definitely doing something wrong. Hypothetical, you go down for a save, a puck gets loose behind you and a panicky defenseman fires it into the back of your head. There are hundreds of other ways you could strike your head besides a puck that are far more likely to happen and equally as dangerous.

also here's an analogy. you wear a helmet when you bike, have a fire alarm too. it's rare to have a fire in your house but when you do you'll be damn lucky to have that alarm and if you're wearing a bike helmet its kinda rare you fall off unless youre just starting but you never know. you could even hit your head on the post and if you lay on the puck and there' ssticks waving around everywhere in the crease or if it takes a funny bounce off the crossbar and hits you or if your helmet comes off if you're playing the puck behind the net, a player comes and you get pushed down a bit and your mask could fall off or come up a little bit and you could be seriously injured. i recommend it, and danger is always an option no matter how careful or how protected you are.
As a goalie there are so many ways that you could get the back of your head hit. You could whack it on the post or crossbar. You could also be hit in a scrum in front of the net. I'm not sure how aggressive your games are, but certainly in the league I played in I wouldn't play goalie without an extremely protective helmet.
Can't say it any better than Lubers just did. For evidentiary proof, look no further than myself. I was a goalie all my amateur life and had backplates on all my face-hugger masks. I am a bit ';touched'; but could be worse if I never had that protection.

when i got my hair permed, every time i washed it i left a hair mask in so that it wouldn't get dry and crispy... i think that it's better if you use it every other day, because your hair is quite damaged. well first you want to see what's in this hair mask. if it has natural ingrediants, including keratin and aloe, then it's really good for your hair but it isn't EVER healthy to do a deep conditoner like that every other day. Too much of a good thing is just as bad you know?

Sure--why woulndt it be? It could build up alot of gunk in your hair though so you may need to get a clairifying shampoo such as Suave Clairifying works great. But then a mask could leave your hair too oily too to so you may want to use that shampoo every other day or before you put a mask on your hair.

I was raised by a family of smokers and nothing took my breath away any faster than those dammed deoderent sprays! They are horrible and worse for your lungs and possible allergies than smoke. Hair spray runs a close second, then bus fumes. Is it bad to mask the smell of second hand smoke with deoderant?
Yes. It is bad to try to mask any odor. It just ends up smelling like deodorant and stink. No one wants to smell smoky deodorant.





The secondhand smoke could hurt your lungs after any amount of time. You probably won't get lung cancer or anything, since it's only 4 6 more weeks but it's not good for you. It shouldn't become too much of a health threat though.

It's not going to kill you or anything, but inhaling smoke AND whatever fantastic chemicals they use in deoderant certainly isn't going to help you anything. I'd seriously consider getting an ionizer or other filter to take the smoke out of the air altogether.

But even you manage to ';mask'; the smell of the smoke, which I don't believe is possible, you will still be breathing in the smoke, Just because you can't smell it (and i would still be able to) it doesn't mean it's not there.






It isn't bad, but what you're implying wont exactly work. Deodorant will only cover the smell, it wont remove the smoke in the air, meaning, health-wise, it's still the same damage. maybe worse depending on the deodorant you use

Are you sure that there isnt mac address filtering set up on the switch.
