How do I make an egg drop container using only photocopy paper, straws, cotton balls,and masking tape?

I have to use only these items. i cat get it right. It has to be light weight and small.How do I make an egg drop container using only photocopy paper, straws, cotton balls,and masking tape?
OK, here is one idea





Start at center with egg


Surround with bed of cotton balls, tape in place to make ball


Make box or sphere using the straws as the wall material, it does not have to be solid, only a cage


Inside this place loosly wadded up paper to fill it with the egg/cotton in the center. Might need to put some tape to suspend the egg in the center a bit to keep it from settling before you drop it





Finish by filling with the wadded paper balls and seal with additional straws to make a full cage, secure all with tape





you are trying to generate crush zones, being the straws first, then paper, then cotton and hopefully not the egg








Last minute thought, an alt design might use the straws a springs, suspend the egg/cotton ball from some straws by tape, with them being dampening springs.
