How do I apply foundation so it doesn't look like i am wearing a dark mask?

I am in my early teens and I understand that using powder and cover-up isn't good for my skin, but I cannot stop using it. Any beauty tips for me?How do I apply foundation so it doesn't look like i am wearing a dark mask?
if your foundation looks like a dark mask then its way too dark for you, you need to find a shade that matches the inside of your arm near your elbow. Your foundation should look natural. If you need to hide blemishes, you can buy concealer. The best one I have used is made by Physicians FormulaHow do I apply foundation so it doesn't look like i am wearing a dark mask?
First of all, you need to take it easy so you don't clog up your pores. It's better to let your skin mature before you use foundation...but if you really want to use it, then only apply it to areas you need to even out or cover up. Applying it to your whole face is overwhelming. Powder is better than liquid, but don't overdo it. You want a natural look :)
You should find the kinds that best match your face. The stores should have testers. Sometimes they have people to find your color for you. Dont wear too much. %26amp;%26amp; if you do have a darker kind wear some on your neck also. Sounds wierd but when i tan i get a darker base and then when i stop my skin gets lighter and thats what i have to do until i buy more. :)
i have no idea
use powder.......or get a shade that matches ur skin color.
Look into buying a powder type foundation. I use the Bare Escentuals kind (Bare Minerals). I think it covers flaws well and also looks pretty natural. It's more exspensive than the liquid kind but it lasts ALOT longer.
Use a translucent powder. If your skin is not flawless, however you might want to try a foundation that is the SAME color as your skin even if you are fair-skinned. I have a feeling your foundation probably has too much orange/red pigment in it. You can easily get the ';dark mask'; look if your skin is not tan like the foundation is.

Try this: After moisturizer spread an even amount of your foundation over your face with your fingertips. Wet a makeup applicator sponge, (not the ones that come with a compact) squeeze it a little and use it to blend and pat the foundation to a perfectly even dewy finish! Make sure to blend (gently rub) it around your chin and jaw-line so there is no visible line where the makeup stops.
Well I heard that one of Cliniques foundations are good for you and its basically the same as cover up and powder. You should probably buy a brush from Sephora cause if you use a sponge it makes it seems heavy and a brush is much better if you want a natural look. Another way is asking a person at Sephora or M.A.C stand and ask them what would give you more of a natural look with full coverage
get the right shade and colour. and blend , blend , blend!
just stop using it its not gd. am a 15 yr old and i have a girl in my skool who uses foundation everyday since she was 12 or 13.now shes 17 and she looks like a 40 yr old without the foundation. so just stop using it.
It important to get a foundation which is practically the same colour as your skin, the colour should just dissolve into the skin. Also using a brush to apply your foundation will help with even cover, they sell them in Superdrug. x

Buy a cover up that matches your skin tone (test the cover up by smearing a little on your wrist and blending it in) then apply a small amount on a cotton pad and then rub it on your face and to blend it in better rub some on your neck and rub in. then apply the powder all over your face : )
