Unless you are Aquaman, Jacques Cousteau, or King Neptune or have to live under the sea, then no, a prescription diving mask would not be considered an eligible expense for a FSA. Any eyewear that corrects defective vision is a deductible medical expense and therefore can be paid for with HSA money. It doesn't have to be necessary for survival or needed in a trade or business. Report Abuse

Of course it can. You need a prescription to see. It is deductible as a medical expense. Get yourself some prescription goggles while you're ordering your mask, and get those reimbursed too.
Probably not, since diving isn't considered essential to your health.
