Any advice on masking pain or injuries during a competition?

Anyone know of any weird spices or something that can help numb your pain if you get an injury during a competition? I run track races but sometimes they can be a little rough, so any ideas?Any advice on masking pain or injuries during a competition?
Sorry, there are no quick fixes for track injuries and if you're injured and push it then you risk having to remove yourself from the track team permanantly. You need to get yourself on a pre-running plan to minimize stress on the muscles, ligaments and joints and if you do injure yourself then treating the injury is essential for long-term health and that unfortunately means rest.

Sorry I couldn't tell you what you wanted to hear, just being honest!

When are you supposed to use the proactive refining mask?

Are you supposed to put it on after the cleanser or after the toner? When are you supposed to use the proactive refining mask?
I used proactive about a year ago, the cleanser and toner and lotion are three steps that you do everyday repeadietly, the refining mask (like any sort of clay mask/mud mask etc.) is meant to be used around two or three days a week during the day, as in not directly after the use of the cleanser or toner. It is used to clear your pores more and to help take away black heads. It is more of an addition to the proactive routine. Just rememeber to not use the refining mask more than three days a week or your face will start to dry out... you may want to use a face moisturizer to prevent this from happening. When i used proactive it didnt completely clear up my face so i went to my dermatologists and started taking pills to help.

Hope this helpsWhen are you supposed to use the proactive refining mask?
I usually use it at night before I go to sleep

  • Can you wrap masking tape around a platinum engegment ring to make it fit until it gets resized?

or will that hurt the metal? Can you wrap masking tape around a platinum engegment ring to make it fit until it gets resized?
I agree with cookies. Put it on a chain around your neck till it gets resized. Can you wrap masking tape around a platinum engegment ring to make it fit until it gets resized?
It won't hurt the metal, but it will be annoying to the jewelry repairman to have to clean off the sticky residue that's left behind. It could also be hard to get the tape off if you've had it on for a while. I suggest using either yarn or going to wal mart and getting snuggies. Your jeweler may also have temporary sizers that should only cost a few dollars.
Lol, ouch. I wouldn't do that, you'd look funny, too. Try leaving it off for a while, but if you really want to wear it, take a necklace, and take the ';String'; part that goes around your neck, and put the ring around it. Like a ring necklace.
No - but not a good idea because it won't work. Just don't wear it until its right - you run the risk of losing it. Or wear it behind another tighter ring.
Just wrap some thread around it untill you can get it sized. Thats what I did in high school with my bf graduation ring.
just use some tape that light weight

How do you mask a slight scorched taste in white cream sauce or gravy?

That's a tough one...not too easy in a white sauce, but in a brown gravy, I have added some either boullion powder or brewed coffee! It works. How do you mask a slight scorched taste in white cream sauce or gravy?

Any way to mask the smell of something so that drug dogs cant sense it?

Purely out of curiosity.Any way to mask the smell of something so that drug dogs cant sense it?
Pepper spray, vinegar or curry powder.... anything that's nasally irritant...and several layers of tinfoil.Any way to mask the smell of something so that drug dogs cant sense it?
    Coffee..I saw it on COPS
i heard paenut butter does the trick!
    No.
    try bicarbonate of soda
    Not sure.
Masking the smell rarely works with a GOOD drug dog, however, if I were trying to keep the purely fictional drug dog from locating my stash and/or wares (also purely fictional), I think I would sprinkle Cayenne Pepper in my carpets and around all my doors. This will definitely keep the fictional dog from locating anything but a sneeze or two, and, while painful, will not harm the dog in the long term. It is, of course, not a way to make the police very happy with you.
Nope.. There are plenty of ways to throw the dogs off though.
    I've heard coffee.
No, a dog's sense of smell is 4,000 times stronger than ours, so even if you think you've masked it, to them, you've only added another smell.
no, there is nothing, they are trained to detect minute traces of it on your skin and clothing and in the other goods packed around your stash. It is impossible to remove every single trace or molecule of your contraband. They will find it. Sorry buddy, you gonna have to go without! :p
there are many opinions on that one. some say seal it in wax, pack it in coffee. the thing is-when a dog smells something--let's say beef stew, the dog doesn't smell just beef stew like humans do. the dog smells: beef, carrots, potatoes, salt, pepper, onions. see the problem?
No. Part of what makes a dog's sense of smell so sophisticated is its ability to smell multiple layers of chemicals. Dogs don't detect a single chemical but a combination of them.
Good Trick stick it in your deoderant
No. Their sense of smell is thousands of times more acute than yours. They were made for this sort of thing.
    butter
    Raw steak???
    peanut butter
...did you wrap it in cheese?...
    coffee
    theres no way im sorry

    shoot the dogs? j/p
Drugs are bad and I hate body cavity searches...Have fun with that!
    im suree out of curiosity.
I just put a dead body in a bag with the drugs. The dogs never find the drugs. They are too interested in the body.
maybe your shold not do drugs. either that or learn to do the time for the crime
Pepper spray. Used Kotex. Fox in heat urine.Saw the last on on Mythbusters that was the only one that really worked.
Cover it with a VERY strong chemical like bleach or chlorine. The dog won't know what it is but he won't like it.
being a law abiding person. fools'm every time....
Let one big human bomb of methane gas fly... that ought to do it.
    set off a stink bomb...
idk but I've heard that the dogs are also trained to respond to certain substances that are used to mask the smell of drugs, such as coffee.
