How do you mask a slight scorched taste in white cream sauce or gravy?

That's a tough one...not too easy in a white sauce, but in a brown gravy, I have added some either boullion powder or brewed coffee! It works.How do you mask a slight scorched taste in white cream sauce or gravy?
